VF Basics: Documenting crop protection

Go to Documentation -> Plant protection and click here on the button Add spraying

Now enter all the required information in the window that opens. The mandatory information is marked with a red asterisk to ensure that you enter everything you need. Please also note that you can add several products for one spraying and do not have to provide documentation for each product. If you have not yet entered any consumables, first create the relevant products in the consumables. You can find out more here:

Since 2026, the authorisation number of the crop protection product must be documented, among other things. However, you do not have to enter this manually; it is documented directly with the product and can be found in the machine-readable export format.

If you have made a mistake in the documentation, you can correct it at any time. To do this, simply click on the entry for the spray you want to adjust and scroll to the bottom of the window. Click on the "Edit" button here. If you have made a Delete spraying click on "Delete".

Scalding quantity calculator 🧮

The Scalding quantity calculator helps you to quickly mix the next tank and calculate how many trips will be necessary for your tank size for the area to be travelled. You can also calculate what the mixture for the last tank will look like so that you don't mix more than necessary.

In order to Scalding quantity calculator go to Documentation -> Plant protection and click here on the button Scalding quantity calculator. A window will open. Here you can now select the vineyards to be treated. The total area is then automatically calculated from the selection in the field Size. However, you can also adjust the area manually at any time if you wish.

Also enter the water requirement per hectare, the tank size and the resources used. At the bottom of the sidebar you will then find the calculation result for the Mixture with full tank. You can also use the dropdown to select the Mixture for the last tank select.

You can then transfer your calculation directly to the documentation and save it.

Copper account 📊

You can use the copper account at any time to see how much pure copper you have already applied and how much you can still apply. The function automatically calculates all the data. All you have to do is enter your sprayings in VineForecast as described above and you will then automatically receive the calculations.

In order to Copper account go to Documentation -> Plant protection and click here on the button Copper account. If you have specified in the settings that you operate a conventional operation, click on the three dots and select Copper account.

Resistance management ☠️

The resistance management function shows you which active ingredients should currently be suspended or avoided for the rest of the season. The function automatically calculates all the data. All you have to do is enter your sprayings in VineForecast as described above and you will then automatically receive the calculations.

In order to Resistance management go to Documentation -> Plant protection and click here on the button Copper account.

Export ⬇️

You can export your documented crop protection measures as a PDF or Excel file for potential inspections. To do this, go to Documentation -> Plant protection and click here on the three dots and then on Export.
