Plant protection documentation from 2026 - what will change?

From 1 January 2026 extended requirements apply to the documentation of plant protection measures. In addition to the previous information, the following information must also be recorded:

  • Authorisation number of the plant protection product
  • EPPO code of the treated culture
  • Clear area allocation (e.g. IACS number / GPS coordinate)
  • Size of the treated area
  • Type of application (e.g. outdoor, protected)
  • BBCH stageif prescribed
  • Time of applicationif required by conditions

The aim is to Fully digital, structured and traceable documentation. A subsequent obligation to machine-readable documentation (e.g. for authorities) is planned.
