The percentage shows how many vineyards are protected or unprotected on the selected day.
As a reminder, the logic of the recommendation at company level is as follows:
- Duration of protection per plot and disease is calculated and a combined minimum protection date is specified
- All plots are compared with each other
- The earliest date is recommended as the next spraying date for the entire farm area
This logic means that as soon as the protection against Powdery or Mildew has expired for one field, spraying is recommended for the entire farm. However, protection has often only expired in one or a few fields. This can be quickly recognised by the percentage figure, giving you more insight for decision-making.
